We’ve brought together amazing local professionals who handle all different areas of a home purchase to give you some insight into how it all works, and to answer any burning questions you might have.

Arrival from 6pm, speakers will start from 6.15pm and run through until around 7.15pm, with the venue staying open until 8pm so you can chat with any of our speakers afterward if you have questions! Light nibbles and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided.

Lucy is our resident home buyers coach, and has been successfully running their ‘First UP’ program since early 2024 where they work with first-time home buyers to help get them ready to purchase. So far, 29 of Lucy’s coaching clients are in their first homes thanks to guidance from Lucy.
Karla Hogg, Tasmanian Building Inspections – Building Inspector
Karla and her team have been operating in Launceston, Hobart, Devonport, Queenstown and statewide in Tasmania since 2013 and is the leading provider of residential pre-purchase building inspections in Tasmania. So many first-time buyers don’t understand the importance of a building inspection, and Karla will be able to explain to you just how crucial this can be!

Jane comes to speak to you with years of experience in the world of property sales, and can guide you in how to make an offer, how to make your offer stand out, and what kinds of questions are great to ask when you’re looking at properties.
Emma Vincour, Simmons Wolfhagen – Solicitor
Emma has over 20 years’ experience in commercial and property law having worked in Tasmania, Queensland and England & Wales during this time. If you need someone to explain to you how contracts of sales work, how specific clauses protect you as the buyer and some protect the vendor, and what all the legal jargon really means, Emma is your expert!
