Before jumping into the world of home loans, Eliza spent five years in the thick of conveyancing, where she lived and breathed contracts, settlements, and last minute “can we still settle today?!” moments. She worked across every kind of property deal you can imagine and was already a familiar face to the Up Loans team, who knew her as the cool head behind many of their clients’ smooth settlements. So when she joined the team officially, it already felt like a perfect fit.
Up Specialties
These days, Eliza keeps the engine running at Up Loans. As a Senior Analyst, Loan Writer, and Client Service Manager (yes, she’s a bit of an all-rounder), she’s the behind the scenes magic that makes things happen. She keeps the admin team humming, makes sure nothing slips through the cracks, and works closely with brokers and clients to get loans across the line, especially the tricky ones. She’s all about calm under pressure, practical solutions, and making the loan process feel a little less overwhelming (and a lot more human)!
Thanks to her conveyancing background and lending know-how, she’s got that rare superpower of understanding both the legal and finance sides of a property transaction and explaining it in a way that actually makes sense.
Property Journey
Eliza isn’t just someone who works in property, she’s lived it. She bought her first home at the baby age of 19, and built her second from the ground up at just 21. Since then, she’s been slowly transforming that house into a home, complete with never-ending landscaping projects that come with a new build…
In between all that, she’s also welcomed two gorgeous kids, her son in December 2021 & her daughter in September 2023 making her an official member of the “two under two” club. Safe to say, she knows a thing or two about juggling!
The Future
These days, Eliza wears more hats than your average coat rack, loan analyst, the right side of Carrie’s brain, mum, snack supplier, and part-time flooring business manager (because why not add a family business into the mix?). When she’s not helping clients or wrangling admin workflows, she’s helping run her partner’s growing flooring business, quoting, scheduling and somehow still remembering what’s for dinner.
Her focus right now? Supporting the Up Loans team to keep delivering top-tier service, helping clients feel confident in even the messiest of loan scenarios, building a thriving small business on the side, and proving (with the help of coffee and Sugar free Red Bull) that you really can do it all.
